Character Name: Sarah Amanda Rogers
Character Journal:
american_dream
Physical Description: 5'7, 120 lbs, blonde hair, blue eyes. Sturdy.
Age: 17
DOB: July 4th, 1994
PB: Jennifer Lawrence
Character Location/Home: Avenger's Mansion.
Alignment: Good.
Relatives: Steven Rogers (father, living), Sharon Carter-Rogers (mother, living)
Abilities: From her father, Sarah has a watered down version of the super-solider serum. This gives her enhanced reflexes, speed, strength, senses, and durability. She's also had intensive martial arts, hand-to-hand combat, and firearms training. She's also pretty damn handy with a shield, thank you very much.
Weaknesses and Flaws: Super-solider serum or not, she's very much a normal human girl.
Personality: Sarah is very much her father's daughter. She's reliable, dependable to a fault, and a little bit of a girl scout. Let's just say that Sarah likes trying to be prepared for almost everything. She has the potential to be a leader, but she's not really sure if that's what she wants to do. She does know that she wants to follow in her parents' footsteps...whether it be SHIELD or the Avengers. She'll stick with the Avengers for now, but she's not sure what she wants to do.
And while Sarah's on the conservative side compared to some of her friends, she isn't a complete stick in the mud. Sarah enjoys having a good time with her friends, even if she isn't what you'd call a party animal. She can have a real mischevious streak when she sets her mind to it. It might take a little coaxing, but Sarah can be talked into letting her hair down and have a good time.
Sarah's the kind of person who cares fiercely about those close to her. She can be stupidly stubborn when it comes to helping people, not caring about what the risks might be to her. It's gotten her into some trouble in the past, but Sarah's the kind of person who would likely lay down her own life if it meant that someone she loved would be safe.
Backstory: The daughter of Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter, Sarah was raised around both the Avengers and SHIELD. So naturally...heroing was kind of programmed into her brain. From a young age, Sarah was either pretending to be Captain America...or a SHIELD agent on dangerous, covert missions. When she turned sixteen, she fashioned a costume similar to her father's and joined the Young Avengers as American Dream. She's not the team leader or anything, and truth be told, she's a little grateful that her teammates have never expected her to lead. Right now, Sarah just wants to do her best to live up to her father's legacy.
Sarah fully intends on enrolling in the SHIELD Academy once she graduates high school. She's not sure if she wants to be an Avenger like her father, or a SHIELD agent like her mother, but right now, she's enjoying figuring it out.
Hell, maybe she'll do both. You never know.
